DOT Compliance Specialist Houston, TX

Aegis Chemical Solutions is searching for an experienced, approachable, action-oriented DOT Compliance Specialist for our Corporate office, located approximately 5 minutes from Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston.

This individual will assist the Corporate DOT/Fleet Compliance Manager in all aspects of Department of Transportation (DOT) administration and compliance for new and existing Company drivers and vehicles.

As an integral member of our Operations and DOT Compliance team, the Compliance Specialist will be responsible for the following:

  • Manages expiration data associated with the department (CDL, Medical Examiner’s Report, Required Training, etc.) in the form of a Driver Expiration Report and communicates report to all districts;
  • Assists Corporate DOT/Fleet Compliance Manager in the facilitation of new hire on boarding for DOT new hires;
  • Manages and reviews driver training manual on a biannual basis;
  • Responsible for processing new hire applications (running MVRs and proper DOT background checks) on all new hires that fall under DOT regulations;
  • Maintains and files accurate DOT recordkeeping, driver qualification, vehicle inspection, and maintenance files;
  • Registers Company vehicles and units (DOT and non-DOT) online and in-person at DPS and tax assessor offices;
  • Assists in compiling data for Corporate DOT/Fleet Compliance Manager for external audits by regulatory agencies;
  • Daily processing, handling, and data entry of documents, files, forms, and requests;
  • Facilitates fuel cards and binders for new and existing vehicles;
  • Maintains databases for registration, licensing, fuel cards, vehicle inspections, and records inspection;
  • Maintains and utilizes best industry practices and;
  • Other duties as assigned and the ability to work overtime as needed. Ideal candidates must have intermediate knowledge of DOT regulations, including HAZMAT transportation laws, and intermediate knowledge of multi-state transportation regulations, including insurance and permit requirements. The ability to multitask and work with strict deadlines is a must.

Experience in an oilfield chemical services company is a huge plus. An Associate’s degree or 3+ years of DOT compliance experience is preferred. Professional certifications are a plus. All candidates must have the ability to travel periodically and for extended hours as business dictates.

Account Representative Pecos, TX

Aegis Chemical Solutions is searching for an accountable, approachable, action-oriented Account Manager for a major customer in the Pecos, Texas area. Serving as the key line of communication between Aegis and our Customers, the Account Manager will report to their Area and/or District Manager. The Account Manager will primarily be responsible for obtaining sales, service, and reporting for their Customers within a defined geographical area. In addition to the current Customer base, the Account Manager is also responsible for developing a sales pipeline with a focus on closing new business in their assigned area.
Account Manager may be responsible for supervision of one or more account reps.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Obtaining field samples for laboratory analysis;
  • Performs field analysis of samples within parameters set forth by Aegis’ Operations team;
  • Provides chemical and mechanical solutions to the Customer, while assisting them in lowering their lifting cost;
  • Coordinates with Technical Services on difficult chemical-related problems;
  • Creates monthly reports capturing cost, lab analysis, failures, etc.
  • Attends and participates in Customer meetings, to exchange information and report performance;
  • Maintains continuous injection rates at optimum levels;
  • Provides written recommendations to improve operations for the Customer;
  • Troubleshoots production chemical-related problems should they be encountered on the Customer’s site;
  • Develops and maintains Treater Truck treatment rates and/or frequency;
  • Ensures Customer KPIs (key performance indicators) are met
  • Conducts and reports a Total System Analysis (chemical survey) on existing or potential Customers
  • Manages Customer chemical inventory in coordination with regional Aegis Operations team;
  • Supervises a team of one or more Account Representatives;
  • Maintains continuous injection rates at optimum level and;
  • Focuses on accomplishing goals in a team environment with an emphasis on safety and cooperative communication across all other functional departments.

Three or more years’ production chemical industry sales experience is required. A four-year Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but we will consider related career experience in lieu of. This position requires the ability and desire to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and terrains (80% of working time).Successful supervisory experience in developing and leading a team is a must.

Seasonal CLO2 Operator (CDL) Jourdanton, TX

Aegis Chemical Solutions is searching for seasonal, variable-hour Cl02 Helpers for our well servicing operations around Jourdanton, TX. Seasonal CLO2 Helpers may also be assigned to travel to W. TX as well for other assignments. This is for seasonal work, for an assignment that should be equivalent to about 6-8 weeks of full-time work. We are in the process of building a part-time, seasonal staff to ensure operations run smoothly when we are burdened with “surprise” work in this area. All applicants MUST have a CDL and clean driving record in accordance with Department of Transportation and Aegis Chemical Solutions regulations/policies.

Helper duties includes proper mixing of chemicals, testing of precursor chemicals and final product, sample collection, generator operation and maintenance, and surface and subsurface application of Cl02 solution.

QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Acceptable driving record
• Have a TX CDL
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English
• Ability to solve simple to moderate math problems including multiplication and division
• Ability to work in in climate weather, long hours and lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly
