Supply Chain Specialist Houston, TX

Aegis Chemical Solutions is searching for an approachable, action-oriented Supply Chain Specialist for our Corporate office, located approximately 5 minutes from Bush Intercontinental Airport. This collaborative role will be responsible for analyzing and coordinating the logistical functions of the organization, in addition to managing procurement of required materials, parts, and components for organization operations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Direct availability and allocation of materials, supplies and finished products;
  • Maintain and develop positive business relationships with key personnel involved in or directly relevant to a vendor or client’s logistics activity;
  • Develop an understanding of internal client needs, and take action to ensure that such needs are met;
  • Develop and implement technical project management tools such as production plans, scheduling, and compliance metrics;
  • Review inventory targets with District Managers to ensure security of supply against targets, benchmarks, and service agreements;
  • 3rd party manufacturing management;
  • Analyze operations costing and sales data/reports
  • Apply cost benefit analysis techniques
  • End of month inventory report management
  • Maintaining district safety stock
  • Create and maintain purchase orders and send copies to suppliers;
  • Ensure all suppliers acknowledge PO prices and delivery terms;
  • Provides analytical support for projects;
  • Designs and implements solutions to drive inventory accuracy;
  • Provides analytical support for new business opportunities and strategies related to inventory management;
  • Researches root cause of inventory discrepancies and;
  • Handles special projects and other duties as assigned.

Strong organizational skills and analytical skills are a must, as is a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management, or at least 5 years’ related industry experience. High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically advanced knowledge of Excel is required. Experience with database creation and management is preferred.

All candidates must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as well as excellent problem solving skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills, with a high degree of standard towards ethical principles. Finally, someone that can work independently to dictate degree of direction needed to complete tasks, and can deliver integrated and long-lasting results through matrixed relationships will be highly successful.

This role reports directly to the Supply Chain Supervisor.

Delivery Driver Cuero and Forsan, Texas

Aegis Chemical Solutions is searching for an experienced, qualified Delivery Driver to join our Cuero and Forsan teams.  The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and on-time delivery of Aegis’ chemical product from our yard facility to the customer location.

Responsibilities of the Delivery Driver include, but are not limited to:

  • Hauling chemicals from Aegis yard facility to customer site;
  • Keeping up with BHI and DOT documentation;
  • Understanding container labeling and associated product hazards;
  • Loading and unloading truck;
  • Performs routine servicing and inspection of truck equipment and supplies;
  • Driving a Company vehicle in compliance with FMCSA regulations;
  • Handling special customer projects and working overtime as needed

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work under pressure and to maintain efficiency and composure
  • Ability to travel out to and navigate job sites for extended hours as business dictates with the ability to travel by means designated by Company (Air, Auto, Train, Boat, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook) and PC Skills and
  • Needs little direction to complete tasks; can dictate degree of direction needed to complete tasks

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one (1) year of commercial driving experience
  • Previous oil and gas well treating experience
  • At least three (3) years’ commercial driving experience
  • Experience with the operation of forklifts, drum dollies, trailer hoists, chemical pumps, hoses, meters, and gauges

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. at any given time
  • Ability to bend over 40-50 times per day
  • Physical demands of the position including sitting, standing, climbing, agility, reaching, trunk movements, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, low level work, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and talking.
  • Ability to work in inclimate weather

Administrative Assistant Asherton, TX

Aegis Chemical Solutions is searching for an approachable, honest, action-oriented Administrative Assistant to run the day-to-day office functions of our Asherton field office.

The Administrative Assistant will be primarily responsible for daily office operations, including general office management and data entry.

Previous administrative experience in oilfield chemical services is not required, but is a plus. All applicants must have at least intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Outlook, Word, and Excel.
