Seasonal CLO2 Helper Jourdanton, TX

Aegis Chemical Solutions is searching for seasonal, variable-hour ClO2 Helpers for our well servicing operations around Jourdanton, TX. Seasonal CLO2 Helpers may also be assigned to travel to S. and W. TX as well for other assignments. This is for seasonal work, for an assignments that should be equivalent to lasting about 6-8 weeks of full-time work, with weeks of breaks in between. We are in the process of building a part-time, seasonal staff to ensure operations run smoothly when we are burdened with “surprise” work in this area. All applicants MUST have a clean driving record.

Helper duties includes proper mixing of chemicals, testing of precursor chemicals and final product, sample collection, generator operation and maintenance, and surface and subsurface application of ClO2 solution.

QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include acceptable driving record; Ability to speak, read, and write in English; Ability to solve simple to moderate math problems including multiplication and division; Ability to work in inclimate weather, long hours and lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly; Stable work history; Ability to work overtime and various schedules as needed with occasional overnight travel; Ability to work safely and follow safe practices including chemical handling and; Other duties as required.

Regional DOT Specialist Midland, TX

Aegis Chemical Solutions is searching for a Regional DOT Compliance Specialist for our Midland, TX, area office. The Regional DOT Specialist will primarily be responsible for assisting Corporate DOT/Fleet Compliance Manager in all aspects of Department of Transportation (DOT) administration and compliance for new and existing Company drivers and vehicles.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Assist drivers with daily inspections, identifying areas in need of attention prior to driver leaving facility;
  • New driver orientation to include hours of service training, load securement, and DVIR completion prior to getting behind the wheel;
  • Creation and administration of specialized driver training pertinent to our industry, including but not limited to proper pre-trip inspection techniques;
  • District visits to include training sessions for drivers, as well as “ride-alongs” with drivers;
  • Assists Corporate DOT/Fleet Compliance in the facilitation of new hire on boarding for DOT new hires;
  • Registers Company vehicles and units (DOT and non-DOT) online and in-person at DPS and tax assessor offices;
  • Assists in compiling data for Corporate DOT/Fleet Compliance Manager for external audits by regulatory agencies;
  • Daily processing, handling, and data entry of documents, files, forms, and requests;
  • Maintains databases for registration, licensing, fuel cards, vehicle inspections, and records inspection and;
  • Maintains and utilizes best industry practices

Three or more years’ experience in a specialized DOT role, or as a DOT driver is required (preferably in the production chemical industry). A two or four-year college degree is preferred, but we will consider related career experience in lieu of.

All candidates must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as well as excellent problem solving skills, employee relations, and interpersonal skills. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point) is a must. Those with clear strategic ability, intrinsic drive, who can dictate the degree of direction needed to complete tasks independently, and are action-oriented individuals who deliver integrated and long lasting results through matrixed relationships within the organization will be very successful.
