Account Manager Corpus Christi, TX

Aegis Chemical Solutions is searching for an experienced Account Manager for our South Texas region.

Duties include but are not limited to: Handling all services work for a specific Customer (change coupons, catch sample for lab analysis, bacterial cultures, H2S levels); troubleshooting for bad oil; emergency chemical delivery; monthly reporting to Customer; chemical inventory; checking chemical pumps; new business development; creating the Treater Truck schedule; and handling special projects as needed.

Qualified applicants MUST have at least 2-3 years experience as a Service Technician or 1-2 years as an Account Representative in an oilfield chemical services environment. Those with clear strategic ability and action-oriented individuals, who deliver integrated and long lasting results through matrixed relationships within the organization will be very successful. Those without the experience described above need not apply.

Senior Accountant Houston, TX

Aegis Chemical Solutions is searching for an experienced, energetic, personable, hands-on Senior Accountant for our Corporate office, located in N. Houston (Greenspoint Area). The Sr. Accountant will be involved in all aspects of the accounting flow, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger.

The primary duties of the Sr. Accountant include, but are not limited to:

  • Reviewing and posting of revenue from Aegis regional sales offices
  • Reviewing and posting of chemical and non-chemical vendor invoices
  • Fixed asset accounting
  • Balance sheet reconciliation
  • Bank reconciliations
  • General ledger entry preparation
  • Providing assistance in creating new control operation procedures that are scale-able for continued growth of the organization
  • Assisting other district offices with various inquiries on a daily basis
  • Assisting the Accounts Receivable Supervisor with the month-end closing process
  • Working with IT in specific projects to add efficiency to Accounting department software and protocol
  • Analysis of sales and use tax
  • Assisting in miscellaneous projects as request
  • Ability to travel to district offices as assigned in tandem with other members of the Accounting team

Chemist Houston, TX

Aegis Chemical Solutions is searching for an experienced Chemist for our brand new, state-of-the-art laboratory at our Houston facility (Greenspoint Area). The Chemist will report to the Laboratory Manager.

The Chemist job scope includes, but is not limited to: Conducting laboratory test procedures for analyzing components and physical properties of materials; developing, improving, and customizing products, equipment, and analytical methods; conferring with scientists and engineers to conduct analyses of research projects, interpret test results, or develop non-standard tests; and interacting with the sales and field technical staff to understand their needs.

Daily activities of the Chemist also incorporate the following:

Interacting with Computers–Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.

Getting Information–Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information form all relevant sources.

Processing Information–Compiling, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.

Analyzing Data or Information–Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.

Documenting/Recording Information–Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form.

Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge–Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.

Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates–Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.

Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships–Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.

Qualified applicants will have strong mechanical aptitude; be highly organized and deadline-driven; have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and LabVIEW programming; have the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees; possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral; have exceptional problem-solving skills.

Only those with 3-5 years’ experience in a chemical laboratory environment within the oilfield//production chemical industry, with related Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Engineering, or in a related science will be considered. Regional Accounting Supervisor Midland, TX

Aegis Chemical Solutions is searching for an experienced, approachable, action-oriented Accounting Supervisor for our Midland Regional office. In addition to their daily responsibilities in managing accounting operations for our Midland office, the Regional Accounting Supervisor would supervise the regional AP/AR Specialists. As an integral member of our Accounting team, the Regional Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for the following:

• Review and confirm that AP/AR for all locations have been entered correctly and invoices are ready to send out
• Preliminary inventory, billing and collections for the Permian Basin region
• Participation in monthly close cycle, ensuring monthly results are accurately represented with revenue, margin, and expense analysis
• Participate in and gather information for financial audits as needed
• Monitor inter-Company activity and reconciliation
• Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs
• Preparation, review, and input of journal entries
• Monitoring of cash flow
• Purchase Orders for fixed assets
• Multi-state sales tax return processing
• Depreciation
• GL posting
• Bank reconciliation
• Monthly reconciliations for various general ledger accounts
• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with exposure to sensitive matters
• Other duties as assigned

Ideal candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, with at least 3 years experience in an accounting role with a supervisory function, above-average proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Navision, and working knowledge of GAAP. Experience in an oilfield chemical services company is a huge plus. A related four-year degree is a must. All candidates must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as well as excellent problem solving skills and client service skills, with a high degree of standard towards ethical principles. Those with clear strategic ability and action-oriented individuals, who deliver integrated and long lasting results through matrixed relationships within the organization will be very successful.

This role reports directly to the Corporate Controller.
